Lakes Region Seaplane Services owner and operator Dave French spent his summers on Pine Island on Lake Winnipesaukee. His love of flying off water began 33 years ago on “The Big Lake” with an introduction to floatplane operations by Skip Neidhardt. Skip piloted both commercial planes as well as seaplanes, and at the time owned a seaplane flying business on Winnipesaukee. Once Dave got started with Skip he was hooked.
Dave has accumulated over 12,000 hours of flight time throughout his 34 year aviation career. He has a long list of piloting experience which includes Folsom’s Air Service, Bar Harbor Airlines, American Trans Air and bush flying in Alaska to name a few. However, now he has come full circle and returned to his original passion, which is Seaplane flying in the Lakes Region.
There is nothing like taking off and landing on the water. These unique flying tours allow visitors and locals to experience a memorable perspective of the lakes region that only a seaplane can provide.
Reservations Seaplane Base is located on 1290 Union Ave, Laconia NH. Come to the base or call Dave French the pilot (603-387-7575) to reserve a tour. Standard tours are booked on a first come first serve basis. Advanced reservations are only required for pick up from your dock.
